Sofia Dorazio Brockhausen is a German-Brazilian costume designer and multidisciplinary artist. Born in Hamburg in 1993, she was raised in São Paulo, Brazil. After graduating with honors in Fashion Design from Faculdade Santa Marcelina in São Paulo, Brazil, in 2015, she entered the theater world in 2016 and has since worked as a costume designer and visual artist in Germany and Brazil.
Her costume designs have been featured at theaters such as Schauspiel Frankfurt, Staatstheater Hannover, Schauspielhaus Bochum and Theater Duisburg, collaborating with directors including Johan Simons, Lisa Nielebock, Damira Schumacher, Markus Bothe and Tamó Gvenetadze.
Alongside her theater work, Sofia is active as a visual artist and has received several grants, including from the Ministry of Culture and Science of North Rhine-Westphalia and the City of Bochum. During the pandemic, she presented one of her works digitally as part of an exhibition at the Rottstr5-Kunsthalle in Bochum. Her pieces have also been exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC) in Curitiba, Brazil.
In 2022, she founded the jewelry brand Lilith & Sofia in São Paulo, which bridges craftsmanship, fashion, and art.
